VoluDerm is an in-office procedure that does not require the use of anesthesia. A handheld device containing a series of microneedles is placed on the areas of the skin being treated. These very small needles penetrate the skin and emit the RF energy that is absorbed by the surrounding tissues. The process involves little to no pain or discomfort.
Several treatments are usually required to achieve the patient’s desired results. It typically takes around a few months to see the full results of your treatment.
There is no downtime required following treatments with VoluDerm. People can return to their normal activities immediately following their treatment. There should be no bleeding or bruising. It is recommended that you protect your skin from the sun to help maintain results.
